6 month sleep regression!!

Our baby is 6 and half months old and although he has only ever wanted to contact/pram nap during the day, he has always gone down no bother at night in his crib. He used to get excited to start the bedtime routine. Until one week ago! He now screams when we take him up to bed despite us taking him up when we spot signs of tiredness. He wakes up after a couple of hours and then simply will not settle again unless breastfed but even then stirs as soon as he’s put back down. We’ve tried a red light, no light, space lights, black out curtains, bath before bed, white noise, keeping a hand on him until he’s asleep. Last night he didn’t settle until 4:30am. Please tell me this is a phase, he has always been such a good sleeper!

Yes it’s a phase. It can come and go unfortunately. It’s all related to their development and growth. It’s not easy on them or you but hang in there and the key phrase is it’s temporary. Iv you have help and support from others use that to your advantage and try get naps here and there during the day while the support person eg. Family member has your baby in another room do you can rest to be able to help your baby through this daunting time of development they’re going through. Just a message away ❤️
