Going abroad

I'm going to be taking my daughter abroad this summer. Her dad isn't on the birth certificate and has no parental responsibility at all. What do I need to take with me? Just passport or do I need her BC as well?

So she got your surname? Then you don’t need to take anything apart from her passport.

Yeah she's got my surname. Is there something in the passport that says I'm the sole parent?

I'd take passport and birth certificate just to cover yourself. Likelihood is you won't be asked but my son was questioned when we came back from Spain

Just passport, I went to Canada and panicked as I read online they'd need BC too and I hadn't taken it but they barely checked her passport and airline said just passport was fine x

I took my son to France last month, ex is not on Birth certificate or have parental rights, I only took my sons passport and did not get stopped at all
