After 28 weeks you would need a fit to fly note from your midwife/GP, check the website of the airline you are flying with that should tell you their guidelines.
Get a Dr’s note. Some airline may not let you fly!
I have checked with the airline and you can travel upto 36 weeks if it is a single uncomplicated pregnancy. I will need a fit to fly, which my midwife has said she is happy to give. I was overdue with my first pregnancy so hopefully won’t be early this time 🤞🏻
Hope you enjoy your trip! Greece is on my list for sure
I just came back from Turkey but I’m 21 weeks. I personally wouldn’t risk it. The amount of swelling I had (not to say you will have it) and fear of something going wrong almost ruined it for me.
I flew at 29 weeks pregnant for a holiday and to be honest I felt quite anxious being so far away from home and was so relieved when we were on our way back home. I personally wouldn’t fly in the third trimester again just because I know I wouldn’t enjoy myself much. Towards the end of my pregnancy I just wanted to be close to home comforts etc. That’s just me though, I’m sure everyone has different experiences!
I flew at 32 weeks and I was fine, coming back through the airport the other end I had to have a letter to give the Spanish airport to prove I was ok to fly, and they spoken to me about how I felt. But other then that everything was fine! Xxx
It’s risky because you could potentially go into labor early as that’s always a risk, but I would consult with your OB. It’s usually after 34 weeks that they advise you not to fly, but certain airlines have their own rules as well.
