Eon payment help

I am currently £300+ in arrears with my Eon bills. I have about £10 in my bank currently and since last month, don't have a job so am currently getting UC (please no judgement, this is my first time without a job) I am feeling so so stressed about my money. UC underpaid me last month and are still sorting it out so I've had to use all of my savings on rent and food. I am scared to ring them up, I don't have full concentration anymore and don't have anyone to look after my baby whilst I ring them so I know I'm going to end up all confused when I talk to them about possible payment plans. That's if they even do them. Has anybody been in a similar situation and can offer advice so I have some sort of knowledge about this before calling them?

Hey don’t stress. I was in so much worse debt they ended up wiping mine off. I’d say give them a call and just explain your situation they’re really friendly. Send me a message if you want more info x

I’m in exactly the same position!

I have massive amounts of debt with Scottish Power. I think it’s around £1600, but I just call them and explained I’m poor and then arranged to pay £30 a month off a month. They can’t take what you don’t have, so don’t panic. Just call them explain your situation and offer them an affordable monthly repayment or if you don’t feel confident enough, contact Step Change and they’ll do it for you.

Im with eon and i got behind cos they tried to increase my direct debit so i cancelled it last yr and i set it back up again 4 times and they never did or took any money and thats when i had my LG so there dault and i have a payment plan with them and its more affordable
