How much colostrum is everyone getting at a time?

I’m a little tender don’t feel like I’ve got the position to squeeze quite right and I’m 36 + 5 days
I barely get 0.5 ml from 1 breast and maybe 0.3 ml from the other one, and that's on a good day. 🙈
Today I got 3ml but everyone is different… my midwife said the baby only needs about a teaspoon of colostrum each feed so as long as you collect a bit each day for the next 3 weeks then it’ll be fine. It’s just a back up anyway incase you either struggle to breastfeed or just for there first few feeds if you’re formula feeding (just so they get the nutrients and antibodies) x
I’ve been leaking for a little while though I just didn’t want to collect until closer to 37 weeks x
I'm currently getting 2.5ml when I remember 😅 if I were to do it more frequently I reckon I could get 2.5ml per side (39week). I really wouldn't worry about how much or little your getting, it won't affect your breastfeeding journey at all. I was speaking to one midwife who was saying some women physically cannot collect colostrum but still have success at breastfeeding

I get roughly 4-10ml per day (not in one session, usually split between 2-3) but I have been leaking since very early on so feel like it's easier in that sense! But it doesn't matter how much you get as it doesn't affect milk supply. My friend is a midwife and said they will only be taking 1-3ml per feed to begin with so you don't need much! Xx

I'm 37 weeks and since I started last week I went from getting about 2 ml to now I'm getting 10 ml combined from both boobs 😁 I'm pretty proud of my collection of syringes
With my first it was 0.3-0.5ml max each time. This time around with my second it's 5-7ml before I get bored 😅

It takes me about 10 mins to get 1ml from both boobs and I give up. I didn’t use any of the colostrum I expressed when I had my last baby so I’m not too fussed about getting too much. Just a couple of syringes for a backup x

You’ve done amazing ! It’s taken me 3 days to get 1 ml - my breasts are very sore from trying and I’m slowly giving up lol
