Work with a baby

Hi 👋🏻How stay at home moms can work? You can have a 8-5pm work schedule? how do they achieve it? I am a first-time mom and I quit my full time job when we found out I was pregnant and we moved to NC at the same time, we used to live in Florida. I am trying to find a remote job that allows me to take care of my baby, with a flexible schedule but most are full time with fixed hours of 8-5pm, but I don't know how to achieve those schedules because my baby takes short naps during the day and depends on me for everything. He's only 2 months old.

Unless it’s a job where you have no meetings/calls and you’re able to go off and do your tasks during the day, it won’t work. I’m currently working and taking care of my 3 month old, and the only reason I’m able to is because I know I’m quitting in a few weeks, so I’m not giving my job my all. My kiddo sleeps anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours at a time, and there have been times when I’m on meetings and she starts crying and I have to hand her off to my husband or go off camera and feed her. It not possible with a traditional job imo

I can realistically work 4 hours a day, so I am working part time until my little one starts daycare
