At what point you guys felt comfortable taking stairs after C-section and what sort of guidance did your OBGYN give in terms of using stairs.
I live in a 2 level dwelling and just wanna see what it’s like for others

I spoke to my OB specifically about this today. She said if properly managing pain with meds, you should be okay to climb a flight of stairs slowly, 48hrs after the surgery. That being said, a friend of mine spent a whole week on their ground floor because she wasn't ready.

They gave me a binder at the hospital kind of like a waist trainer. I make sure I wear it every time I go up my flight of stairs and walking backwards up the stairs rather than forward normally feels a lot better i take it nice and slow, one hand on the rail and one head on my stomach, but only go upstairs to shower and go to bed. I have downstairs set up for me, and my man can take care of the baby down here during the day

I was 5 days postpartum when I climbed stairs just be careful and don’t rush

I really wanted to know how soon is it safe to climb stairs multiple times a day. I’m now 3 weeks post partum and have been staying upstairs and only taking stairs once or twice a way, I’m wondering when it’s safe to resume taking them more regularly

I would love to have a floor set up for me
Downstairs has the kitchen and living room but no bathroom, if I had even a half bath it could have worked
Upstairs has rooms and a bathroom

I had my c-section on 4/14. They told me I could go up and down stairs once a day

thanks for sharing . I had mine of April 6 so I’m wondering how long I should avoid stairs for - my OBGYN said I should avoid as much as possible but didn’t say when it’s safe to resume - he just said if I have to take it be careful

how often do you go up and down and when did you feel comfortable going up and down very many times

I went up and down once and I don’t feel comfortable still going up and down and I’m 11 days post partum rn but I go up and down maybe 2-3 times a day now cus I’m still recovering my c section was also complicated so I’m healing slower and still use a cane to get around
