Am I overreacting?

My partner has taken up fishing as a hobby has been for a few months now.. only does corse currently… So every time his gone fishing I’ve been home looking after baby.. His friend has also taken up fishing so they got together I don’t mind I class it as guy time doesn’t bother me in that sense they do day fishing or over night fishing every other weekend All week my partner and I have both been at home but I’m still doing all the house work, cooking cleaning nappies feeding everything.. He does the shower in the evening and once baby is out of the shower he gets handed to me so I dry and dress him and feed his bottle whilst my partner goes on his computer and starts gaming.. We woke up this morning and I said to him we need to go food shopping there’s no meals in the freezer to cook we don’t get paid until the end of next week so he said that’s fine we can do that.. He got ready and said his going fishing 30 minutes after he woke up he was up and out of the door ready for fishing.. so we go shopping tonight instead.. I have said to him repeatedly I have no down time I don’t get a moment to myself doing something I want to do.. all he said was you have to make time for it — so today was my university open day for nursing and I wanted to go so I rang him and said the open day is today we will miss it and he goes well I don’t know what you want to do about it I didn’t even know it was today and I said I booked it 3 weeks ago he didn’t say anything so I cancelled it… I am starting to feel a bit resentful and angry and I don’t know if I’m over reacting to that

I don’t think you’re over reacting, your feelings are still completely valid. I’m assuming your partner works so can understand he wants down time and has found this new hobby. But equally you are with baby all day and still maintaining the house so he can have this downtime. He has to realise there needs to be balance so you can have time too doing what would make you happy x
