They told me my baby had very short femurs! Referred me to fetal medicine then ended up saying the machines were measuring wrong after 6 weeks of worrying - they can catch up I know a few of my friends have been told and then further down they were average size xx

@Caitlyn thanks I’m 30weeks tomorrow n only just picked up on it his head is goin up on lines but the fetal length is goin down on lines but he’s 3lb already

I was told my baby had very small femurs (less than 3rd percentile) and I was induced on the spot after a growth scan because they were so concerned about his (lack of) weight gain. I was also warned it could be dwarfism, Down’s syndrome wasn’t possible for us as we’d already had chromosomal testing at 14 weeks which ruled out any trisomy type syndromes. My baby was eventually born by crash c section. He was 6 lbs 4oz, his legs were fine, and he’s now one of the taller babies in his age group across the other mums I know ❤️ It is really hard for them to get accurate measurements in the 3rd trimester. Try not to worry, I know it’s hard not to. I was beside myself too xx

@Rachael thanks hun he’s growing fine n classed as a big baby as he’s already 3lb at 29 weeks I am hopin to be induced early as I’m in a lot of pain this time round but they will probs put it of I dint have any of the downs test wen early on as I dint see the point as it wouldn’t matter either way just wanted to know wa the possible outcome could be
