The dating scan can be any time between 10 and 14 weeks If you can't wait that's fine to have an extra scan, lots do!

Not if you're getting blood, I went at 10+3 and they couldn't do my bloods then apparently I got rebooked in for following week

My dating scan is booked round the same time. I’m going for a reassurance scan tomorrow and I’m 11+1. I wasn’t going to but my mum saw that I was anxious and offered to pay. I tried to change my 12 week scan cause I fly out on holiday the next day, but they wouldn’t budge. So thankfully my mum has helped me out.

@Lil not sure why they said they couldn't do them, maybe it was staff availability as screening bloods for downs, Edwards and Patau's can be done between 10 and 14 weeks. And screening for HIV, HEPb and syphilis should be done as soon as possible (this is usually in your booking bloods around 8-10 weeks)

I went to a private early scan at 8+0 and my 12 week scan will be when I’m 13+1. Definitely makes the waiting easier when I’ve seen the baby already since I’ve knew from 4+0.

Yeah I had a scan at 7 weeks but just feels like so long ago so having another tomorrow and then I have my NHS one in 2 and a half weeks I know it’s all probably abit much but just can’t stop worrying x

The nhs scan can be anywhere up to 14 weeks, it’s not actually a ‘12 week’ scan it’s just ended up being called that over the years because it’s at around 12 weeks. They tend to try and book it for around 13,5 weeks if they can fit you in then because baby is that little big bigger, and it makes it easier to get proper measurements xx

My first NHS scan is booked for 7th June… I’ll be 15 weeks by then! I had an early viability scan at 8 weeks and if I don’t get an earlier scan with NHS, then I will get private scans for sure.. I use window to the womb xxx

@Beci are you having the combined screening test? If you are I would call and let them know you'll be 15 weeks as the screening test needs to be done between 10 and 14 weeks

My scan I will be 13+4 days xx
