Wean from breast feeding help

I’m m ready to wean from breast feeding. My baby does take a bottle. He typically feeds to sleep. This is my first baby and I have no idea where to start. Do I keep giving him a bottle for awhile? He eats solids well. Any advice?

I would fully switch to a bottle and pump. I personally feel like it's easier to wean from pumping because you can control how often and how long you pump. Then pick one of your pumping times and slowly decrease how long you pump until you stop pumping at that time, then move on to the next time. If your breasts start to hurt pump for like 5 minutes to relieve the pressure, but don't empty the breast fully. So for me, right now, I pump at 10 am for 20 minutes and I pump at 10 pm for 5 minutes. Next week I will only pump in the morning and slowly decrease the time. Hope this helps. As far as weaning your baby. Start adding in whole milk to their bottles. And then increase how much you are putting in until it's just whole milk. I think there are milk alternatives you can do instead but I haven't looked into it.
