Moving to cot

Hi all so my little on is 12 weeks and outgrowing the Moses basket in the bedroom so we are going to bring his cot into the room beside the bed and place him in that I know this might be a silly question but do you just place them in the cot the same way as the Moses basket with just their grow bag/sleepbag on and literally nothing else? I’m scared he will be too cold or something as it’s more open xx

Yep just a sleeping bag if your little one is in one would be enough ☺️ nothing else as per the lullaby trusts guidance

@Caroline thank you! I feel so emotional putting him into the big boy cot 🤣🤣

I'm at the point where little miss needs to come out of her moses basket too as she's very long/tall but I keep telling myself I'll do it tomorrow I'm not ready emotionally 😂

I've had the exact same question - put my baby in the cot but he's extremely active & noisy...put him in with feet at the bottom then look a while later & he's done a full 180 & has head at the bottom! We actually put him back in the moses basket as he seems to settle better in that, although he'll outgrow it soon

You could try putting a towel in the shape of a U under the sheet. It gives them a sense of comfort and also stops and wriggling!
