Potty training

Has anyone else not started potty training yet? I feel like we are behind but she's really not ready

Yeah we’re nowhere near! This is my second baby and I learnt to just follow their lead and not worry about it xx

My first(boy) was dry well before now. However my daughter has no interest. She's done a few wees on the potty and 1 poo on the toilet but that's all.

Same. A friend told me they tried with their daughter before she was ready and accidents really set her back, so they had to stop and wait until she was ready. I know my LO would react the same, so encouraging her when she takes an interest and following her lead.

I have twins I did one at Easter the other isn't ready yet and I have no intentions of rushing her. She has started sitting on the potty and asking for it (doesn't do anything) which is a great step for her she wasn't doing this before her sister started potty training. All children are different even twins. After I started the 1st one I was like this is the next few years of saying do you need toilet and accidents etc so I wouldn't rush if they aren't ready. We've got 15months yet.

My daughter isn’t ready yet - we tried over Easter and she’ll do a wee on the potty before we put pyjamas on at night but won’t use it regularly or poop on there (or let us know she’s pooping!). Will try again in a few weeks

Thanks for the replies its really reassuring

Tried with my daughter as she was watching her 4 year old sister and wanting to copy her and she did ok for a couple of weeks but then started refusing to use the potty without a meltdown about it so I decided to stop and wait for her to show an interest again.

Not even close ;/ will sit on the potty occasionally but never sit by himself

We spoke to nursery about it and they suggested using pull ups and taking her to the toilet evety 30mins or so. This is how they potty train at nursery so thinking of giving this a go in a couple of weeks
