My son is having trouble in daycare 🥵

Soo my son has been in daycare since he was 2 months. I worked at the first daycare he attended but the school was sold so he started at another school. He’s 2 years old now and he’s been at his current school for a year and at first he would go in school all happy but half way through the year he would hysterically cry when I brought him in school. It ended up getting better but now he’s starting again, when I pull up at the school he he cries 😓. On top of all that some of the staff is very insensitive and makes comments like “you’re always crying” “youre not a baby”. I work with kids and I understand how frustrating it can be but sometimes I feel like they’re too hard on him. Any advice how to make school drop off easier 😭

Speak to the head master or go higher ground because they shouldn’t be making comments like that. Try and talk to him? My niece can be fussy with nursery my sister speaks to her the night before on who’s taking her to nursery which teacher she will see. Then asks what does she wanna do at nursery and then mentioned who’s picking her up after school. It’s like a little routine in her head. Still has her moments I just hope your little boy is okay.

Have you asked how long he cries? How is his day afterwards? How is he when you pick him up?

@Courtney I have talked to them about these comments. They don’t do much unfortunately. I have talked to him, I try things like giving him his favorite dinosaurs and that doesn’t even work. As the days go on it seems we have more bad days than good days 😭

@Haley 💚 According to the owners they say he doesn’t cry for long. But his teacher says he cries on and off .. When I pick him he seems perfectly fine

@Nitra awww. Maybe you can bring in a picture of yourself so when he’s feeling sad he can look at it.

@Nitra seriously? This is awful I am sorry about this. Ohh no that’s not good at all I’m sorry I can’t give you any other ideas :(

@Haley 💚 Yes! This is definitely a great idea. Im going to try it

My daughter did this but her teacher is so awesome she would give her hug in the mornings and just let her love on her until she felt comfortable enough to mingle with the other kids unfortunately due to their hours I’m going to change her school I hope I don’t send her into culture shock

If he was OK and suddenly he began crying... maybe something happened to him. Does this daycare have video so you can see what is happening?
