Do I need to tell my neighbours that I'm sleep training my baby?

My baby has just woken up as she does and is crying but I'm sleep training her so she's crying longer than she usually does, because I haven't taken her out of her cot and breastfeed her back to sleep. My neighbours start banging on the walls and scare her so now it's taken even longer for her to settle herself. I don't really like them and don't feel inclined to tell them anything but should I?

How awful for you to go through that, it’s hard enough to have a crying baby and not settling but then them to bang on the walls. If it was me, they would get a right mouth full!!Honestly some people are so inconsiderate, surely they know you have a baby and I’m sure they should have sense that babies cry! If they don’t like the sound of your baby crying they should get some ear plugs! I wouldn’t go into so much information but do let them know you don’t appreciate them banging on the walls especially when you’re child is crying!

why would anyone bang on the walls in the middle of the night while they can hear baby is clearly unsettled already??😭 bless you as if it’s not hard enough! you definitely don’t owe them an explanation, but id be telling them to cut the banging on your wall out asap so selfish x

@Aneasa and @Ellie Mae thank you! That's exactly what I was thinking

I feel for you, I have roommates that are very angry about the baby and bang, slam doors, turn off lights etc. I am trying desperately to get out but the way the housing crisis is here it could literally take years and it feels so unlivable. Every time my daughter cries I have a panic attack. I don't have advice for you but if you want to just vent to a mom in a similar situation I don't mind listening ❤️

😢

Hey Paris don’t stress yourself out boo petty is as petty does and with that said I’d bang back and even make a beat while doing it 😆 cause no mom deserves to go through that!
