Yellow stains on stored baby clothes.

Just starting going through my son's baby clothes to sort out ready for the baby. They were all washed before putting into drawers but most of them have yellow stains on them now.

Google says this is normal and due to proteins oxidising but that soaking and washing with hydrogen peroxide will get them out.

Has anyone else had this and managed to get rid of the stains? There are so many nice clothes that are otherwise fine to reuse!

We were the same! So annoying isn’t it. We decided to keep some that we’ll get made in to a bear and the rest we got rid of. The same happened with some of the poppers, they’d gone green and left marks on some clothes. They’d been cleaned and vacuum packed away 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm going to try the hydrogen peroxide first but I was hoping to not have to do any shopping😅

Oh no! I haven’t got our baby clothes out of the loft yet, but ours were cleaned and vacuum packed away. Hanging them in the sun can help bleach stains out, cloth nappy tip 😊

napsan and ace colour in the hot wash will get the stains out 👏✌🏻🙏 xx

I'd love to hang them out in the sun but I think the baby will be here before the sun is😅🙈

haha I feel your pain! 😂 We did have a bit of sun here today though 🤞🤞

just to update you, I soaked all the clothes in Napisan in the bath I overnight and could see all the stains had come out but washed in the machine and hung outside this morning. They are bright white and looking brand new🙌

Standing???

Anyone else’s 7 month old standing up and trying to take steps??? My son can fully stand without support and is now trying to take steps. I feel like it’s too early?…

Excuse the mess, I’m doing a late night deep clean and he’s doing the opposite of helping 😂

How much does your baby eat

Hello,

How much does your baby eat?

My boy is 4 months (17 + 5 weeks) and he weights 7kg (born 3.5kg)
Sometimes I have feeling he is eating too much…
From yesterday I had to start giving him more food as he started crying after food and asking for more. (100% formula)
He eats around 1.3L in 24 hours (6 feeds with 5 being during the day and 1 overnight) . On internet it says baby can eat 150-200ml per 1kg body weight so in theory my baby can eat max 1.4L so it would tell me he is not eating too much… just on higher end.
Then on internet it says baby shouldn’t eat more than 32oz (900ml) in 24 hours. So I’m a bit confused…

Cheap Car Seat

Hi all,

I need a cheap car seat for my mums car just for when she looks after my daughter incase she needs to pop out.

I ain’t particularly concerned over safety because it’s literally for emergencies only, as she plans everything around childcare - but I need something just incase she needs to go out.

Ideally looking for something under £80 - my daughters nearly 2 x

Not sleeping (i need help!)

I’m desperate! My 7 month old has been a terrible sleeper for a while but seems to be getting worse, he’s sleeping every 2/3hours throughout the night then taking over an hour to get back to sleep and I’ve tried everything to help him sleep longer throughout the night, I’ve extended his wake windows, offered him extra ounces of formula before sleep, we have a white noise machine, I’ve tried patting him, rocking him and even tried to techniques to help him self sooth and I even try co sleeping and nothing seems to be working that helps him sleep longer😩 And I’m starting to really struggle mental health wise as I’m not sleeping due to the constant wake ups! I need help I’m desperate 😩

Sleep struggle 5 month old

Hi, my baby is 5 months old and I’m really struggling with his sleep.
I understand that waking for feeds is normal, but he wakes up almost every hour. He usually goes to sleep around 8:00–9:00 pm and gives one longer stretch of about 2 hours. After that, the wake-ups become very frequent. For example, if he wakes around 1:00 am, he then starts waking every 1 to 1.5 hours.
Most of the time, he doesn’t even feed properly he just keeps the nipple in his mouth for comfort and falls back asleep.
I’m feeling extremely exhausted and sleep deprived. He is exclusively breastfed and does not accept a bottle at all.
I’m not sure how to manage this situation or how to break this pattern. Any advice would really help.
