Bad mum

I feel like the worse mum ever. Tomorrow my baby is getting her tongue tie cut, which I’m absolutely shaking myself about, I’ve had to book privately and managed for weeks to get tomorrow. I got a letter couple days ago to say her first jags are the day after (Friday). I feel this might be too much for her. I don’t know whether to cancel her jags until the tongue tie is done. Can I get advice please?

You are not a bad mom for doing what’s best for your daughter. ❤️ She will be fine. If you are too concerned, then you can reschedule the other appointment, but definitely carry on with the tongue tie as this must be sorted even for her wellbeing 🥰 x

Hey mumma! Don't stress. My boy just got his tie cut day before yesterday, it really isn't that bad. It was like nothing happened by that night. Just give her lots cuddles.

My daughter got her tongue tie cut too and it was me who was getting worked up about it. Honestly it’s so quick and doesn’t need any recovery time x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
