Morning mummy’s
My LO is 2 months 2 weeks but around 7/8 months we’re going to be travelling abroad, a 2hr plane journey and then a week cruise (thanks to the grand parents)
I’m wondering if there is any tips on what to expect, bring with us, how to make it as smooth sailing as possible.

Don’t stress, honestly that young they just sleep onboard due to the white noise. We started travelling long haul when our girl was 8 weeks and never had an issue onboard.
Remember there’s no liquid limit for babies, baby’s bag doesn’t get weighed so load it up. Travel in their pjs, pack calpol in case, suction for takeoff and landing (bottle, breast, dummy).
You can take Milton tablets to sterilise everything in the sink onboard if you have pump parts, bottles etc xx

Oh and pack extra clothes for baby AND you in case of a 💩🤮 explosion at 37,000ft! You never know.

When the flight would be is that night when baby is already sleeping? That would be the easiest because they will probably sleep the whole journey through but if not take some of their favourite toys tie a string around the toy and tie it to your wrist so if they drop it you easily can pull it back.
Take enough food, drink and take calpol because you never know what's going to happen. Change of clothes nappies wipes. Put a onesie on baby so you don't have to worry about losing a sock.
I will have my next flight in 2 weeks with my 2 and half years old and 1 year old hopefully they will both sleep through the 3 hours flight.

& thank you so much so many things I didn’t even think of. 💕

Take lots of nappies, don’t forget a change of clothes for the flight, make sure your child’s vaccinations are up-to-date, think about your pushchair options, consider a baby carrier, check for documents you may need, take a car seat with you, prep formula if you are not breastfeeding as well as review the policies for formula milk on board, anticipate ear pain, pack plenty of entertainment in your carry-on bag (favourite snacks, favourite toys, surprises and something to suck on), and prepare for nappy changes on a flight (remember a travel changing mat and carrier bags for dirty nappies).

and thank you so much!
