We have our C-section scheduled at 37 weeks which is May 10th. Just making it to the delivery month is an accomplishment for me.
My son was born in 2011 before my baby shower and due to severe pre eclampsia. He was in the NICU 7 days and I was in the hospital 9. I was only able to leave after a last ditch effort to tranfuse blood. He had some complications.
My daughter was born in 2017 at 36 weeks. She was healthy but I was in stroke range and had low fluid. I was on 1000 mg of BP meds after her birth and barely remember 6 weeks if not more of her life. I did get to have my baby shower with her.
This go around I am doing better. It's the first time I have a going home outfit ready. The first time I even considered a hospital bag yet. But there are things I am missing out on like I didn't do maternity shoot, I don't have nursery yet because my room mates havent moved out I was due May 31st.
Like it's fine I'm low maintenance this is my third but as I am in the last 8 days I wonder what other ways I can have the true experience if I make it the 8 days we did a steroid shot this week to be cautious.
So what I'm asking is what are the things you wouldn't want to miss in a pregnancy journey.

I did my own photoshoot with a cute mirror and a little bouquet and I was happy with it!
Other than that no idea I didn't do much! I haven't prepared a nursery because for the first six months baby will be in my room anyway.

I didn't do a photoshoot or a baby shower. The photoshoot I don't mind since I don't like having my photo taken in general but if I had more friends and family nearby I would've like a baby shower. What I enjoyed the most was to prep everything, making a list of baby and mama essentials, buying the things for baby, meal prepping and reorganizing our room. Nursery isn't done yet since baby will be in our bedroom but I reorganized the closet and drawers to put the baby things in there.
