Is anyone else suffering with both? I’m 31 weeks and can’t sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time without waking up with one or the other or both!
I fall asleep on my left side and use a pregnancy pillow and other pillows to raise myself up as much as possible but I wake up with left hip pain and then when I roll over the acid reflux starts and I feel like I’m drowning in lava 😭 at that point even going back on my left isn’t enough to stop it and my hip can’t take it anyway so have to get up and walk or sit upright and have more rennie until it settles. Then I’m wide awake and can’t get back to sleep !
I take rennie, gavisgone and paracetamol before bed but it doesn’t touch it
Anyone else struggling too?

In the latter stages of my last pregnancy, I had to resort to sleeping in a sitting position on the sofa, with a travel pillow.

I had this a little earlier on and since my Dr prescribed omeprezole I've not woken with the reflux as frequently. It's totally safe in pregnancy and has been a game changer. I still get reflux at night on my right side occasionally but nowhere near what it was so has helped with managing the hip pain. If I do have a bad night I have to sleep sitting up too.

I've been referred to physio for the hip and round ligament pain and then regarding the acid reflux I just constantly have gaviscon but you can go doctors and they will prescribe you something stronger

I have been having hip pain too in whichever side I sleep on

Yup getting realllll tired of this ish

You should try and get a prescription from the GP for omeprazole, honestly it worked within a couple of hours for my heartburn/acid.
For the hip pain you can try doing some stretches and a warm bath before bed but if it's really bad then reach out to midwife and she can refer to physio x

I got the omeprazole ladies and I have to say it’s changed my life! Worked a treat from day one and no side affects 😇 thank you all who suggested it - midwife has also referred me for physio for pelvic girdle pain too so fingers crossed I’ll be back to a full night’s sleep soon 🤞🏻
