How do you get anything done with a toddler?

My LO is 13 months old and such a good child but he is so active (but this may be normal for 13 month old - I’m first time mom). How do you get anything done around the house. We have a play pen he will play in for 5 minutes but then gets bored and wants to come out. I let him watch cocomelon and miss rachel but the. Gets bored. Any ideas? Or is this normal? Thank you.

No advice as basically you get nothing done while they are awake 😂😂😂 I can only do Jobs when mine is asleep or if it’s safe I include her, like with the washing I have her in the kitchen with me and she helps to load and unload the washing machine, it’s takes about 6x longer than usual but she loves helping! Xx

I carry my little boy on my back in a baby carrier when I need to Get housework done - he’s walking and climbing sofas etc, can’t leave him for long at all so this is the best option I’ve found 😅

I baby proofed my whole living room because she hated the play pen, so now I can at least clean for 20/30 minutes before she gets bored.

Just do stuff in nap time and lower your standards!

If you find out please let me know! We also rock to sleep and partially contact nap so the only free time I have is usually for cooking, dishes, shower or laundry, never more than two at the same time 😂

I just tend to do as much as possible while they nap or eat tbh, I also like to write a list at the start of the week with my jobs I want to do ie change the bedsheets, clean bathroom etc and then slowly (very slowly) tick them off the list, some days I get loads done and other days nothing (I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old) and that’s perfectly normal, don’t worry too much just prioritise the main things x
