Getting out of the house

So I took my two kids to the pool today (2.5 years and 8 months old). The older one fussed while we were getting into the swimsuits. The younger one screamed bloody murder anytime I had to put him down to care for older. While I was getting dressed and changing a poopy diaper he howled for at least 10 minutes straight. The locker room cleaner gave me such a dirty look when we came out. But I couldn’t have held him the whole time! Does anyone else just dread going out anymore? I feel like I have the clingiest babies in the whole world. I’ve never seen another baby who fusses as much as mine do. I don’t get groceries in person anymore, just pickup. And I’m so tired. I can’t put little one down at home either.

My LO is the same way he is 8 months old, too. I mostly do grocery pick-ups as well. I get nervous about going anywhere. My other kids weren't fussy like he is. I just keep telling him you're lucky you're so cute, lol

Literally feel this way anytime I leave the house. It’s a struggle ! You are doing great by taking them to swim though! That’s a win in my books. Also do pickup or delivery for groceries! Sometimes will make it a trip with my little one but it’s never to get everything I need usually just a snacks for him.

Yesss my 8 month old is super clingy, also screams bloody m*rder for almost everything. I swear it’s the second child syndrome bc what is going on 🤣. Im exhausted!!

I have a 22 month old (turns 2 in June) and a 8 month old as well so I understand your pain today we went to the DMV just to get tags for the new van and I spent 3 and half hours sitting there waiting and dealing with the kids by my self🙃 half way through it I had to pack the kids up and get the van inspected and go back and wait two more hours (spent one hour waiting at first) I called my husband about it and he said we can do that stuff Friday and I told him I rather get it done and over with them come back and wait again🙄

Me tryin to do CrossFit this morning. I’m working night shift this week at work and I decided to bring baby with me instead of going to day care. And I couldn’t even put him down. But at home, he’s all good. Maybe now that he’s getting older he’s realizing distance and being alone. He’ll be 9 months on May 10.

My little one is almost 9mo and he is staring to notice when I leave the room. He will get upset and crawl after me- sometimes even when my husband is there with him. 1. It’s 100% ok for them to cry a little bit while you’re trying to take care of your other child or yourself- 5min won’t scar them for life. 2. You are doing great keep going! And when they nap or play independently SIT DOWN. You need and deserve it. 3. We use the carrier on my back a lot! He wasn’t a fan at first and still gets antsy sometimes. But we keep trying and he loves moving around with me. I hope this helps!

@Amanda I really wish we could still use the carrier. Little one got tall fast, and his legs are really uncomfortable when I wear it. But I know this stage isn’t forever. Soon he’ll be running around as wild as the older one.

@Mechelle oh my gosh, I wouldn’t have even tried! You’re really brave. My kids can’t stay stay still for even 15 minutes. I can’t imagine 3+ hours.

@Rebecca yea it was crazy my toddler wanted to run around and meet most of the people that was in there😮‍💨 and my son wanted to breastfeed but I didn't have a blanket to cover😵‍💫 so having a toddler throwing a fit and having a 8 month old wanting to eat and be held most of it😮‍💨

@Rebecca our guy is getting big so fast! He’s about 30-31 inches. If I carry him on my back for more than an hour in a day I am like toast the next day! If it’s a quick trip into a store or something it’s not too bad. We mostly use the carrier now when we go to SF Giants games. I did use it at the zoo when we got pissed about being buckled in to his stroller. He does not want to be held back in anyway. He’s about 22lbs and super strong. I wasn’t ready for the quick transition from crawling to standing. But I think I’m ready for walking- he’s just getting too big! 😅most days I feel like I went to the gym. The absolute best is when my husband tries to keep up with him. It’s hilarious so hear him tell the baby he’s getting tired from carrying him. 🤣🤣🤣
