Any tips for early waking?

It’s suddenly 5:40am on the dot and I’m exhausted 😩 I know it doesn’t seem too early but he was waking up around 6:45 before. He sleeps around 7:30/7:45, naps around 1 hour 20 mins sometimes up to 2 hours. Sleeps through the night but I just dont really get what’s happened to that hour of sleep 😭

My baby does the same thing! She keeps getting up at 5:30, I’m slowly cutting the naps out so she’s sleeps in later x

That hour makes a crazy difference for your own sanity 😅Try putting them to bed an hour later. So maybe 8.45 instead. That’s what we did with my son and now he wakes up around 7am but he’s asleep by 8.30/9. He sleeps through the night and has around a 2 hour nap during the day around midday X

Agree with @Naomi, our boy can do much longer wake windows now, and needs less sleep overall - so we have shifted bedtime an hour later and it’s helped with early wakes. As with everything, it’s all trial and error and there is no one size fits all 😫

Sleep needs drop over here as well, went from 13ish hours in 24 to more like 12. So you probably need a slightly later bedtime (we do 8pm) and a bit less nap time. Also HIGHLY rate looking into a toddler alarm clock or ‘okay to wake’ clock. Ours has been a game changer for us and she wakes up both later and happier 😅
