Does my baby look like they’ve got a very small chin? The ultrasound tech didn’t say anything about it but now I’m worried. Does anyone else’s ultrasound look like this?

With my first baby the scan looked like she had the longest chin ever 😂
She was perfect when she came out.
They aren’t an exact outline of your baby and it looks fine to me, baby will have been moving around and the image will be blurry.
Like if you take a photo on your phone with the people in it moving, things will look a little off.
If you have concerns you can ask your midwife but honestly scan photos get all sorts of weird results.

Babies chins continue to develop after they are born so it’s totally normal for it to look small at this point or even at birth. I’m sure I’ve read that it is to help them latch for feeding as a prominent chin would be in the way.

We had 6 photos with our scan and her features look different on each one of them. I wouldn’t give it another thought, I’m sure they’re perfect

Please don’t over analyse the scan pics. I’ve just had my 20 week scan and leading up to this point I’ve been driving myself crazy googling how to analyse my scan photos and was convinced my baby had no chin and not enough fingers but I had my 20 week scan and everything looks perfect 💙. Trust the process and have a 4d scan at about 28 weeks where they actually resemble a baby 😂. Don’t have a 4D scan at 16 weeks, they do not look like a baby 🙈
