It’s really important to ensure baby is safe and protected from you rolling x

Yes it’s not safe otherwise

Follow happy cosleeper on Instagram - she has so much ace info on safe sleeping and cosleeping. The cuddle curl is found to naturally relax a little more after 4 months and baby is bigger and stronger but trying to maintain it as much as possible is advised.

but how can you sleep like that? I woke up in so much pain on my back I can sleep on my side with legs bent but it’s the arm above the head I can’t do

Baby is soo long now it’s so hard to c curl round her

Honestly, yes it is recommended but you have to use your own judgement and know your own baby. Like I always have my arm between my LO and the pillow because it’s so close to his head and I wouldn’t want to risk it moving down onto him but I don’t really have my knees under him as he’s so long and I’m confident now he isn’t going to go down. He either rolls away (facing opposite to me to sleep or facing me and even if he’s facing opposite he always looks for me as soon as he’s stirs. sometimes end up on my back too and that pretty normal. No one really stays in the exact fixed position all night every night - even happycosleeper says this
Also l maybe try a different pillow to help with your arm. I had to use a think memory foam side sleep pillow but yeah it’s never going to be the comfiest set up

it does make me ache but I try to alternate sides

i also literally can’t sleep like that, i tried for a few weeks and i was in agony so now im just persisting with trying to get him into his crib

is your mattress firm enough? I was getting terrible hip pain until I flipped it over and now it’s much better sleeping on the firmer side

how do you sleep or do you just get used to it? My LB is only 7M but I know he’s going to be like this when he’s bigger ha!

So i started off, curled around him arm above his head so not to roll on him- as the guidance says. But as soon as he turned about 13 months i became i little more lax as he moves around so much, i now just ensure that he has enough room and i roll onto my otherside- note my bed is a double and we are the only 2 in it! My bf sleeps in the spare room

sorry forgot to tag you!

I put a pillow behind my back lastnight after reading this and it helped a lot I wasn’t achy this morning at all so thank you xx
