Bedford Hospital Parking

What was your experience with parking at Bedford Hospital when you went into labour? My mother in law keeps worrying we won’t have anywhere to park when the time comes… so now I’m worried 😄

I gave birth there a week ago and parking wasn't an issue on any of the three days I was in

I didn’t have any issues but it was early hours of the morning I went in. During the day can get quite busy so you may have to use Britannia road. If that’s the case get yourself dropped outside Cygnet wing and your partner can go park up wherever and move the car closer when it’s not as busy

Yeah people park on nearby roads

Lots of parking, ive found it can be harder from 11-2 but tbh ive always been patient and got a space. The main car park across the road has a lot of spaces also if you turn right inside first. But as others have said would advise being dropped off by entrance and partner/driver going to find a space.. walking is hard at best of times nm whilst in labour 🙈

Or get dropped off and then they can go park in the council owned prebend street car park - much cheaper and there is always plenty of spaces available in there

It can be a nightmare! I was going weekly for blood tests in pregnancy and struggled to get a spot most weeks which caused some serious anxiety 😂. We managed to get one quickly whilst I was in labour but it’s very hit and miss. I would get dropped off and let your partner find a space, then move closer during the quiet time if necessary. X

No issues from me. I got a permit for £15 for the week and parked in the maternity parking. Nice and easy and very close

oh right! Where is the maternity parking?

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
