Ultrasounds

Does anyone else find it weird that we only get 1 ultrasound per trimester ? Is that just my clinic ? I feel like that’s so little and I want to be checking on my baby more than that to make sure everything’s okay. Is it wrong to request an extra one during the third trimester ? My next scan is at 36 weeks

As a first time bio mom, I have felt that way. I didn't even know we got one at 36 weeks! I thought the 20 week one (unless having a high risk pregnancy) was the last one!

They probably won’t do an extra third trimester scan as third trimester scans are really rare unless doctor has a suspicion there is something awry and are typically just to see if baby is in the right position. If it wouldn’t have been for me gaining so much weight I wouldn’t have had one with my first (had one at 37 weeks to make sure she wasn’t huge) and if they do my ultrasound to check my placenta at 28 weeks like I’ve been told they will I won’t have another scan after and won’t see baby until birth 🙁

unless they have to do a repeat anatomy scan or they find something wrong it is for my insurance

I have a lot of friends who pay for a 3d/4d scan in the third trimester. It’s always been really special for them to see baby again more clearly 🤍

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
