3 Tips for more energy !

I know that the month of June can be intense for parents and especially teachers (if June is your last month of teaching). The evenings are busy running to soccer games and we stay up late for our Oilers games! (Any other hockey fans here ?!) As the school year draws to a close (or summer holidays starting !), we all have a list of things to do before June 29/30.

So here are 3 tips to increase your energy so as not to be exhausted before or during the summer holidays!

1. Get moving!
When our body is moving, we wake up the brain and all the other cells of our body by oxygenating it. I have often noticed that a 30 minute brisk walk in the morning allows me to stretch my energy and even avoid having a second cup of coffee in the afternoon. The sun rises earlier now and can encourage us to take an early morning walk, jog or even just stretch to keep us energized throughout the day.

2. Drink water 💦
Often when we are tired, we are actually dehydrated! A dehydrated body will actually be tired! It is essential to drink water. Do what it takes to encourage yourself. Maybe it's an alarm on the phone every hour to remind you, or add lemon to improve the taste or simply make a little daily challenge and add a check mark ✅ after each glass you have had.

3. If after these two tips, you are still very tired, a naturally caffeinated drink made from green tea, guarana and B vitamins could help you stay awake and alert in the late afternoon to end your day in style ( or keep your eyes open during hockey games !)

So tell me, which tip are you going to try first?

Walking is definitely a game changer! It gives me that energy boost to start my day instead of lounging in bed and being grumpy when my toddler wakes up. The B vitamin drinks are also huge in preventing burnout.

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
