So I felt extremely exhausted in my first trimester to the point where I couldn’t leave the house for days or really do anything around the house. Since then I haven’t felt too bad but at 36 weeks it’s definitely starting to creep up again. I’m wondering if people think pregnancy tired is worse than newborn tired as I’m not sure how I would cope otherwise as I feel I can barely do anything at the moment

In my opinion pregnancy tired is 1000% harder than newborn tired! The quality of sleep when pregnant is not great with having to get up to wee constantly and just generally being uncomfortable... with a newborn you are waking up often however the sleep you get is good sleep!
This is what i found with my first anyways... and im hoping its the same this time 😅

My biggest pet peeve in pregnancy is people telling first time mums ‘if you think you’re tired now wait until the baby is here’
Pregnancy exhaustion is nothing like newborn tiredness. Pregnancy exhaustion i find can be crippling (especially that first trimester, now it’s more lack of sleep from discomfort and weeing)
So I’m confident you will find newborn tiredness much easier. And this is coming from someone whose 4 year old has never slept a full night in her own bed her whole life.

I found the dramatic wake up of a crying baby quite triggering and she didn’t settle well so happened 4-10 a night for at least a year. Slept her first night through at 19 months so I definitely felt more exhausted then than I do now at 33 weeks pregnant with a toddler to care for. But I really think this is so subjective based on your pregnancy and your newborn baby! Everyone’s experiences will be different. Ultimately you do find a way to survive through whatever is thrown at you 😘 xxx

When you have a newborn there’s almost a feeling of adrenaline so you feel tired but also wired … in pregnancy it’s just extreme fatigue, hunger, thirst, uncomfortable, and all your muscles are stretching and getting ready for labour so your body just doesn’t stop even when asleep 10000000% take newborn tiredness over pregnancy any day!!!!!!!!! ❤️ plus I’m sure people will be more than happy to help ‘watch baby’ to grab 40 winks, no one tells you to nap when you’re pregnant especially with a toddler in tow 🤣

Pregnancy tired is honestly 1000 times worse than newborn tired xx
