Hey folks,
Is anyone else 29 weeks ish and at the 3lb 6 mark? I initially had an urgent scan because they thought baby was small. Now they're saying she's 3.6lbs at 29 weeks... I know alot of people have then been refered for growth scans or consultants etc but nothing for me. It seems people have a "closer eye on them with 2.5-3 lbs babies but im over here with a 3.6 whopper and it's like đ€·ââïž ok then. That's that then.
Should I be monitored now like everyone else? I dunno. 3.6 is big.... I was actually 28 weeks with a 3.6 but just ticked over to 29

I was 29 weeks with a 3.8 and sheâs not considered overly big at all within the normal scale and they donât seem worried xx

@Rhiannon it's weird I see so many with lower weights than 3.6 going for reg growth scans etc and people being concerned but yeah.. I mean they don't seem fussed . It's so confusing đ xx

Hahaha I agree but just know you ainât alone in the big baby club đxx

I think your growth chart is set off your height and weight and then previous baby weights so everyone's estimated baby weight concerns will be different.
I'll check my last baby's scan for that gestation I'm a min just out of curiosity because he was a big baby . I'm not due to go for my growth scan until the 4th July. X

I had 28 week scan last week my baby was 2.11lbs. However I'm having scans due to low PapA hormone so my baby is apparently expected to be smaller. So I wouldn't be worrying x

đ± I've just checked and my last baby at 28weeks was estimated at 3lb 7oz. I got induced at 38 weeks and he was 8lb 5oz, so full term he would have been a biiiig baby. I'm only 5ft 2 so defo big for me.

I had an urgent scan yesterday after going into triage with reduced movement apparently its protocol for anyone who comes in with reduced movement for first time to have a scan I was 27 and 2 weeks baby weighing at 2.1lb I have another scan on Tuesday wich was booked originally as I'm consultant led and seeing consultant I will be 28 weeks so will see how that goes I have also just been diagnosed with GD

Theyâll be measuring so often now plenty of opportunities to send for more scans donât worry

It will depend on your height weight too. A tiny lady is expected to have different size baby to taller heavier lady. Small babies they worry placenta not working so check a lot more from earlier. Bigger eberything working ok but might need a management plan for the delivery which is long way off and needs only an estimated weight close to that time not now

@Amy to be fair. I'm nearly 6 ft tall. Not overweight but I am tall . My daughter was 9.6 lbs
I guess if they are going off height and previous then maybe that's normal for me and not a concern

yea that's probably why they don't feel worried, I'm 5, 2 and normally a size 6/8 and my biggest baby before my last was 7lb 9 the others were from 6lb 2, to 7lb 4, so if I had have gone to full term with my last he would have been about 10lb. đą

Hi my baby was measuring 3lb at 28weeks and she was 7lb 12 born at 39 weeks, my baby before that was measuring 3lb 7 at 28 and he was 8lb 4 at 38 weeks , x
