How are you guys stopping your babies from standing in the tub??

I thought it was an issue with her outgrowing her baby tub, and getting frustrated with it. So I bought a non slip mat and a couple more bath toys and let her take a bath in the "big girl" tub. She still started to try climbing out before I'd even washed her hair. She used to love baths, and I think she still does she just wants to climb up to me. She only gets angry when I won't let her stand up. How are you guys handling this problem if you have it?

Mine does the same thing. He just started climbing everything so when he does that in the tub I let him because I’m there with him. I don’t like to keep him from exploring. I guess it’s me being afraid because I see all these kids doing it all and he was taking a little longer I was afraid that stopping him from doing things would slow him down.

That makes sense, I'm just so afraid of her slipping or hitting her head.

yeah I understand. I still have mine on the baby tub so he doesn’t have much room to go to but with you watching him he will be ok. You got this☺️

I’ve been struggling with this too! I’ve considered sitting in the tub with my baby and sometimes my mom will actually help me bathe him. She holds him up while he stands and I scrub him down or Vice versa 😂😂😂😂

I just let her stand when she wants to. Bc the more I said no, the more she stood. She slipped a few times and went under the 2-3 inches of water, she eventually stopped. Now she only occasionally stands and does great bc she's getting better at it outside the tub. If u keep them from doing something, u hinder their ability to learn from their mistakes. I quickly learned that.

This baby bath seat!

Avatar

I have a seated tubby chair that sits in our bathtub/shower, and my little guy loves it!! He's in a seated position, but he gets to splash around and play with his bath toys just from a seated position and still feel like a big boy in the big tub! Then when we're about done with bath time, then I take him out and hold him or have my mom or sister help him stand so I can wash his bottom half. He seems to really enjoy it, but every baby is different 🥰

@Kristin yes!! That's exactly what I have and was talking about lol 😆 it's really nice to have my LO just loves it so much!!

Unfortunately my little one got weighed today at 24 almost 25 pounds, she won't fit in the baby bath seats

I do appreciate the suggestion though

Either me or my husband gets in the bath with our lil one and we just let him stand and figure it out. It’s all a part of exploration and development and we’re there to support him and make sure he doesn’t get hurt.

My 9 month old baby definitely no longer stays still at night. bath time, he just climbs out of his bathtub.

have you tried the bath seat I posted? My 2.5 year old would fit if she wasn’t so tall. But her legs fit with plenty of room and she’s 37 pounds (I only know because she has tried and successfully gotten in on her own, but needed help getting out with her long legs). We had a much smaller bath seat when my oldest was younger and I could see how a big baby would have trouble fitting in that.

I let my son stand in the tub. I also get in the the tub with him. I have a big tub.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
