So I’m now 6 days overdue, had my first sweep on the 25th June and have been loosing big clumps and strings of my mucus plug at least once/twice a day since Wednesday 26th (can’t believe how much I’ve lost)😅
Still no sign of baby, booked in for second sweep tomorrow. Just wanted to know if a second sweep gets things going, if it’s worth getting a second one, what it’ll do different from the first one so it’s more successful…
Any experiences/answers would be so appreciated! Loosing my mind now!🤣

I had 2, 40 weeks then 40+2 lost loads of mucus plug but nothing happened, if it don’t work this time it normally isn’t going to work and I was told with first baby it’s a low chance to work but there’s no harm worth a try if you want it x

yeah I’m starting to think that it would’ve worked the first time if it was going to🫠 Thankyou xx

I had 3 , none worked xx

I'm supposed they have left it so long in between sweeps if I'm honest with my last my 1st sweep didn't do anything my second 3 days later my waters broke the next day xx

The data shows that sweeps only bring forward labour by about a day, and only if you're already about to go into labour. It can't start labour in a body that isn't ready yet.

what data how can that data even be accurate if the sweep is bringing on the labour how can you possibly know if labour was going to Happen when it did if you've already had a sweep.i don't understand how there can be data on that
