Sweep said I was 3cm dilated and very soft

What's everyone's experience with sweeps? My first pregnancy I went to hospital at 3cm dilated with contractions being so severe so I'm shocked I got to 3cm without knowing this time around, is labour near or could I stay this way?!

You can help it along, moving around, up and down stairs, on the ball, sit backwards on the toilet! Good luck! X

If you've had baby's before you can be dilated without labour being anywhere near close, good news is if you do need an induction they can break your waters straight away

With my second baby i was 2cm dilated when I had it but my midwife said that if it's not your first baby your cervix will be slightly open still as it never fully closes again? I had a slight bleed after my sweep, which is normal and then an hour or so later when I went for a wee I noticed my mucus plug but then I had nothing until about 4-5pm the next day and my waters slowly went. Unfortunately I ended up being induced due to risk of infection because no contractions started x

I had a sweep on Friday. I was 3cm dilated and soft cervix. I had period cramps on and off all weekend and I’ve got lost my mucus plug and had some bleeding. But no contractions. This is my second baby. Good luck with everything ā˜ŗļø xx

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient šŸ˜‚šŸ„²

Constant braxton hicks!

I’m 29 weeks tomorrow and they are constant especially when I’m walking about!

This didn’t start happening until I was like 36 weeks with my son 😩

Anyone else the same?
