Snuzpod Owners!

Hey anyone who owns a Snuzpod have advice on how I can wash the ‘sides’? I bought one second hand and Ive got the material off it by dismantling but there is plastic sewn inside (for it to hold shape I guess)… can I soak in some detergent in the bath? It wont fit into the machine due to the insert…

Im worried about ruining it!

Definitely recommend hand washing it! And the bath sounds like the perfect place. I was the idiot who squeezed it into the washing machine, and the plastic insert you are referring to bent into the shape of the washing machine and now refuses to straighten out 😹.

Ahhh thanks hun! Ill give it a go!! X

How did you get the material off? Mine is Velcro but then the other side is sewn so won’t come off at all. I got the pink stuff stain removal in the end, used that and hand washed it. Left it out in the sun to dry…but it was effort haha x

Hi! I got a second hand one too but couldn't get it clean even in the bath so ended up buying a new refresh set of the fabric from snuzpod directly if that helps x

it was really easy to take apart to get the sides off, just a couple of ikea style bolts! Im happy with the effort as its saved me lots of ££! Ill try the pink stain remover like you! Xx

oh I didnt know they did this Ill have a look! X

oh I see what you mean, you took it apart. I’m very happy with the results from the pink stuff. Let me know how you get on! X

I shoved it in the washing machine on hand-wash setting. Figured if it messed up I'd get the set with new fabric + mattress and if it worked I'd just get the mattress 😂 it worked fine for me, hung it to dry and put it back on the crib slightly damp to stretch it and let it dry to the right shape.

a lot more sensible than me 😂 I decided that it needed to go on the “baby wash” cycle at 60 degrees because my brain is clearly not screwed on at the moment 😂. Glad to hear that this is an option if I need to wash it again!

haha I wasn't faffing about actually hand-washing it! To be fair, at that point our washing machine had died so I was using my Dad's which is at least 20 years old - I'm not 100% sure it goes to 60° anymore...
We got ours second hand on marketplace and I'll be putting it in the loft when my LG outgrows so will probably end up washing it again if we have another baby.

I did ours in the bath 👌🏻 with some violets mineral bleach. Came up really nice.

I just bent the plastic a bit and fotted in my washing machine. Washed the whole lot as I have to a friend for her little one

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
