Can anyone help?!

Does anyone else’s little one do this? My little one has been doing it since he was about 3 months old and it is followed by hysterical crying, it only happens at night, it happens maybe 2/3 times a week, I will stick his dummy in and sometimes that works or I have to pick him up and rock him, he could cry maybe 2 or 3 times in a row before stopping, he doesn’t seem to be awake. It scares the hell out of me because I would be fast asleep and he just starts crying. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

This is active sleep. My little boy does it, you don’t have to do anything to soothe him, he’s sleeping xx

Errrmm mine did this and I took her to the hospital! Then they told me it’s completely normal and the doctors laughed at me at the time I was so worried. She was only a few weeks but yeah it’s either. Active sleep or just twitching from where they are so relaxed I think x

Mine does it too It can happen a lot during the phase of sleep regression

This brings back so many memories. He’s dreaming of the day he’s had and growing his brain. This is a really important part of their development ☺️

My daughter does this when she’s in a really deep sleep, sometimes she screams so loud I end up running over to her. Totally normal though

Active sleep They make some wild noises in that Our boy was like chewbacca 😂 he just grew out of it xx

Awww I remember when my little boy used to do this 🥺 yes as others have said it’s active sleeping x
