Who finds this challenging?? The cluster / comfort feedings are insane. I find myself feeding for 3 hours straight because my bub just won’t settle until he’s milk drunk. I feel like giving up but everyone says it’s easier after week 4 when your supply has been established.
Would love to hear more about your early bf journey.

Those first few weeks were SO hard! I felt like a literal slave to my newborn, she was constantly attached to my boob. I remember thinking “how am I going to do this for a whole year?” Now my baby is 11 months old and it’s such a breeze, I feel like I could bf as long as she wants to!

They usually cluster feed a lot in the beginning or does get better overtime your milk supply is sorta still building to fit your babies needs it happens to my son and he is great now don’t give up momma the first two weeks are the most challenging imo but not too bad to me it goes by fast

I’m 7 months in and I love it

The cluster feeding is definitely normal, common and exhausting. It’s cause baby is trying to put on weight and also increasing future supply. It takes 12weeks for milk to regulate btw but cluster feeding usually doesn’t last more than 2weeks. It’ll pass but yeah it’s hard in the beginning happened with both of my EBF babies. It’s how it’s supposed to be, it will be okay
Thanks all. I’m also trying to figure out if it’s cluster feeding or comfort sucking. Because he won’t settle I put him on the boob and sometimes he’s barely sucking which is also frustrating. So I’m just trying to figure it out
when did nursing get easier for you and how long did you spend feeding each side?

It’s as hard as it feels. I was shocked at how hard it was. it got easier around 6 weeks. At the 3 month mark my LO discovered lights and stopped latching during the day. I’ve been supplementing formula since.
I think I let my anxiety of her loosing weight get the best of me- shouldn’t have introduced the bottle so soon.
You’re doing great!!!
