That between scan anxiety!!

So I had my 12 week nuchal scan last Friday (I was 12w4d) which dated me at 10th January and baby measuring at 14w1d!! Just like their dad, also torso, little leg 😂😂
Now I’m between nhs scans the anxiety is setting in again.
I feel like every move I make I’m squashing the poor bean.
Am I laying right, am I sitting right, am I playing too much with my toddling nephew.
The sickness is ‘finally’ subsiding enough for me to eat as much as I can but some meals just won’t stay down at all.
I’m also now confused as to whether I go by LMP or 12week scan 😂😂
Midwife is non existent so I’m raw-dogging this experience right now :(

You go by the dating scan as it’s a more accurate measurement of when you’re due based on baby’s measurements.
You should have your 16 week midwife appointment coming up where you can hear baby’s heartbeat for the first time. They’ll book the 20 week scan then for you.

You can also book a private scan in the meantime if it would make you feel less anxious

I have all my appointments in over the next month, it’s just that waiting period that’s the worst x

guidance has changed on listening in at 16 weeks so not all trusts do this now x

my apologies. My midwife said it was common and offered to all at 16 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is very upsetting that we are being exempt from an experience as a new/soon to be mum to not hear the heartbeat. It appears only private scans do this but I’ll ask my midwife/trust when I have my appt x

they don’t offer it as 12 week scans as it can be difficult to find and cause anxiety. They offer it at the 20 week scan. And I was told that the 16 weeks midwife appointment would be the first time we hear the heartbeat

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?
