Mini-pill, how soon am I protected?

I think you’ll be protected almost completely. I think the ‘backup’ method for 2 days only applies if you take it after the first 5 days of your period. If you’re worried, just use a condom for 2 days but I think you’ll be fine.

Saying that though, I took the mini pill religiously for 18 months and fell pregnant on it anyway - he’s now 13 months 🙈😂. I started the mini pill after falling pregnant and miscarrying on the Nexplanon implant in 2020 😂 xx
