C section at 38 weeks 2 days

My elective C-section is booked on 38 weeks 2 days because of a breech presentation.
Is it too early for the baby to come out, his current weight is 3kg at 37th week completion and everything is normal.
Will he face resperatory problems because we are planning to have him at 38weeks 2 days?

38 weeks and 2 days is safe for delivery.
A baby can come vaginally from 37 weeks which is classified as term.
3kg = 6lbs 6oz - baby shouldn’t be under any stress and their lungs are now fully formed so unless their complications at delivery baby shouldn’t encounter any respiratory problems.

My first baby was breech and I had a c section at 40 weeks ..

My girl came 38+2.

She was totally fine, needed no help. Came out crying and testing those lungs out. Passed straight to me weighing 7 lb 7.

Totally healthy, never had an issue.

My lg come earlier at 37+2 due to being small 5lb2oz and she had absolutely no issues what so ever

I had my little boy at 38 weeks, due to being in labour for a week previous & my cervix not contracting. He was 8lb 6oz when he was born and needed no intervention. 38 weeks is a fine gestation to have a baby at. Xx

My son was born at 38+2, he was 6lbs 1oz (2.8kg) and perfectly healthy

I had my son at exactly 38 weeks he was 7lbs 2oz. He was discharged before me he was doing so good.

If it was too early they wouldn’t do it (unless baby’s life was in danger)

My little boy was born by emergency c section at 38+1 and was completely fine. Good luck! 🥰

My little boy had to come via C-section 36+3, he was 4.6obs/2.1kg - he was taken to be checked and then came to me, he was and is perfectly great - he didn't cry at all for 2.5 weeks but found his lungs after that! He's now 5 months, perfectly healthy and a great weight! Good luck xx

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Constant braxton hicks!

I’m 29 weeks tomorrow and they are constant especially when I’m walking about!

This didn’t start happening until I was like 36 weeks with my son 😩

Anyone else the same?
