So I feel like a right idiot for this but… I didn’t realise that heartburn can and does often feel like nausea! I’m 36 weeks pregnant and have basically had nausea on and off since day one. But now I’m nearing the end the nausea is getting worse. Tell me why I didn’t know that this can be symptom of heartburn 😂😂

I’m wondering the same thing! I’ve never had heart burn and nobody can really describe what it feels like to me😂 But last night I felt like there was acid in my throat? And today I vomited which I haven’t at all during my pregnancy?! I’m 27+ weeks xx
see this is what makes me think my nausea could be heartburn related! It tends to happen in the evenings/nighttime, I tend to get really burpy when it happens , like I’m gonna be sick, and weirdly enough only thing I’ve found that “helps my nausea” is milk which makes me believe even more that it’s heartburn!
And I’m the same no one can explain what heartburn actually feels like to me, I get different descriptions everytime!

I had the worst heartburn and then it would creep up my throat and I’d throw up. Sometimes in my sleep. Be careful of what you eat too close to bed and don’t lay down soon after eating.
It’s a burning sensation in your chest/ throat. Then turns into like a gurgle. I never knew heartburn could cause nausea like that but it absolutely can.
I’m at a point in my pregnancy now where I physically can’t lay down to sleep anyways thanks to pelvic pain so thankfully it’s not to much of an issue

Best thing for heart burn is peppermints. I had a few nights ago and peppermints stopped it. I felt sick the whole lot.
