Still breastfeeding, no plans to stop! I’ve been lucky and have had a great bf journey so far to be fair. I’ve not had any comments like that, but I don’t think it would bother me too much, breastfeedings bloody hard so I think a lot of people just assume you are counting down the days! I’d just say that I love it and I’ll keep going as long as she wants to!

Yes I’m not too sure yet but the comments have already started haha x

I'm just going to continue until my boy stops wanting it, I think. I don't see the point of transitioning to cows milk when he can have human milk instead 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to keep going till he's happy with food and cows milk, in no rush to swap I'm happy to keep expressing u till he no longer wants it. The HV told me yesterday that I can stop now which I thought was rude as there's no harm in carrying on x

Still breastfeeding! Just going to keep going until he seems to want to stop. Recommendation is until they’re 2 anyway so not giving it any thought until around then unless I start finding it difficult. He seems to want more at the moment too so definitely not stopping any time soon!

Still going and no plans to stop, I’m going to let her wean when she’s ready. My father in law was asking how long she’d be breastfeeding from about three months old, I don’t really care what other people think as long as it works for us.

I think I'm going to stop at a year. I have really enjoyed it some of the time but its also been challenging and think I'd quite like to feel like my body is my own again. But I might change my mind when I get there!!

Avatar

I think mine has also dropped, I’m almost 3 months pregnant x

Still going but I do intend to start reducing it now to a gradual stop. I’m finding it very draining now more than I ever have previously.

The comments really annoy me! We're still breastfeeding and just carrying on until it either comes to a natural stop or i start to get fed up. Happy to keep going for the time being. I don't know if I'll have any more children as he's a miracle baby so in many ways that makes me more reluctant to stop too x

Avatar

Yep still going! We're just going to naturally wean. I usually reply with telling them that the WHO recommends breastfeeding until at least 2 and that natural weaning age is 2-3.

We are still breastfeeding and I plan to continue until she naturally weans off. My son decided at 2.5yrs.

When I go back to work it will drop to probably only 3 times a day: morning before work, when we get home and bedtime.

Still BF here too but do have up and down days, sometimes I love it and sometimes I really want to stop. I find it hard being the only one that can do bedtime, wake ups etc and also feel bad on my little boy sometimes as can't give him my full attention. I think if mine took a bottle I would feel a bit better and not so in demand but unfortunately she doesn't. Not sure how we will get off the boob but don't think I could handle another year, hoping she will just feed less and wean herself off x

I’m still breastfeeding. Going to follow his lead as much as possible and go from there. He’s eating three meals a day and a snack so not wanting much milk anyway. Mainly a feed in the night. One boob has given up, but the other is still going strong ha (he always preferred the right boob and think I unconsciously did aswell).

Avatar

I'm def same boob wise, one of them only produces a trickle! Weird isn't it?!

Still breastfeeding and little boy just turned 1. Going to continue for the time being.
He fed every 90 minutes until he was around 6 months old so I'm finding it a lot easier now he's on solids and having some water. Also, if he's whingey, its handy to just "chuck him on" 😂

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
