What did you do the day before when you were induced?

I’m getting induced starting tomorrow, getting nervous now. It’s my first baby. I wonder how I should be spending the rest of my day today - doing some more tidy to keep active or rest? What did you do?

Honestly, I’d rest up! You don’t know how long the induction process will take for you and you’ll need all of your energy. Good luck!x

Just looking back at the calendar - I worked (remote/from home) & took the dog to the groomers 😆 In the week leading up though got my hair done, pedicure, & had a hollywood wax. Definitely up to how you’re feeling today! If you’re antsy I’d try and keep active, if you’re tired just lounge & Netflix. Want to keep up the oxytocin and just make sure you’re feeling good tomorrow

I’m getting induced tomorrow too!! I’m taking the dog for a long walk today but this evening we are just going to make a nice dinner and curl up and watch films. I think being as relaxed as possible would be best. (Also going to have my everything shower and see if my boyfriend will help me paint my toes😂)

Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you xx

Rest. Sleep if you can but if you can’t just chill out watch Netflix or something. Induction can take a few days and its likely you won’t sleep much in hospital x

Thank you everyone - I’m too nervous to rest right now, probably do some birthing ball exercises and then rest up tonight xx

I went out for breakfast, lunch and dinner 🤣 I obviously was worried I would never eat again! X

I walked a lot to try and get spontaneous labour going. What I would say is that an induction can be a long process and even if you just bounce on your ball and watch Netflix then your body will get some rest. Good luck! X

I’ll be induced on Tuesday 😬😁 all emotions!😂
I’m going to be watching the clock I just know I am but I think if I do what I normally do which is stick the tv on and watch videos (resting basically) it’ll fly by

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
