Please tell me your induction experiences. I’m being induced on Tuesday (due date) if baby doesn’t decide to make an appearance before then. It is my 3rd baby and other 2 came naturally just before their due dates, although there is a big gap between them and this pregnancy.
I have heard horror stories of people being induced so would love to hear as many experiences as possible!

I heard horror stories and was terrified but it was a very lovely experience. I had the pessary inserted and it fell out within three hours. They then broke my waters and I took the epidural. I went from 4cm-10cm in 4 hours. Good luck xxx

I had heard lots of horror stories I was so scared. My first was natural and my second was induction(only 10 weeks ago)
Due to low staffing I was waiting 5 days on a ward for my induction, I only needed my waters popped.
Once I was called in things got going quick. I went on the drip and 4 hours later my son was born, only on gas and air.
The worst part was just being strapped to the bed because of needing to be monitored. Good luck!

My first 2 were natural, 3rd (4.5months post partum) I was induced, induced on the friday at 4pm, had him on the Saturday at 6pm. I deffo wasn't waiting around to get things going! Like I'd heard and feared. (Although they did say it was a very quiet day, the day I got induced) so maybe I was lucky in that sense!
HOWEVER,
I wouldn't get induced agen though! The contractions felt completly differant right from the get go compared to my other 2 labour's. Even when I was only a few cm dialated. Could be wrong but I think it's due to it not being natural and forced into labour. When I asked about this to the midwifes. Theu confirmed it does feel differant the contractions compared to a natural labour. Try and get baba moving naturally. Good luck and remember it's never too late go change your mind on induction! Xx

i was induced at 41 weeks, went to hospital at 5pm monday, was barely 1 cm dilated and had the pessary inserted at 7pm, literally began having mild contractions within half an hour. pessary fell out at around 1am ( now onto tuesday ) was now 2cm dilated and they decided to leave it out and we would wait for a bed on delivery to break my waters, unless i went into active labour beforehand ( 4cm ). spent the whole of tuesday walking round the hospital, by tuesday night the contractions were really ramping up but spacing out slightly, was checked again at 2:45am ( wednesday now ) and was 5cm! was taken straight to delivery suite, i had to be on the monitor for the whole time in labour which was a shame as i really wanted a water birth. had my waters broken at 4:30am as i wasnt any further cm dilated, things reaaaally ramped up after my waters were broken. at 5:50am i was 6cm. by 6:18am i was 8cm and then at 6:31am i was 10 and began pushing.

his heart rate dropped a few times and we kept loosing him on the monitor so he had to have the monitoring on his head, but 29mins of pushing and he was delivered safely at bang on 7am wednesday morning. was a brilliant experience i’d definitely do it again 🥰
