Anyone else struggle with how boring pregnancy can be? I know this is good to prepare for baby but my word I am struggling with this shift of not being able to do fun things. Any suggestions of fun things I could do would be super appreciated!!

I’m just living my normal life except no alcohol ! What is there that you can’t do?

Avatar

I’m the same. I don’t know if it’s about me or it’s normal during pregnancy. 😕

Yea I had to say goodbye to biking and kayaking, camping, long hikes etc it’s very sad indeed, trying to find new hobbies and watching some shows, reading new books but all I want to do is just get on bike haha

yeah I think it’s because it’s summer especially! I normally wakeboard throughout the summer and if not I’d be going on hikes camping etc and I’m just struggling of FUN ways I can spend my time. I’ve tried googling and it’s always just ways to relax 😂 mumma’s looking for some fun!!

I would love to be having a boring pregnancy but instead I'm having to finish renovating a house which appears to be never ending and very stressful!
(Baby was a complete surprise)
Be careful what you wish for anyway and enjoy your rest ❤️

2nd baby, definitely enjoyed being pregnant during the winter more 😂

oh Lord I am actually in the same boat believe it or not 😂😂 probs another reason I’m so in need of some fun to break up sorting out the house! Now I feel guilty and better get back to it…

Avatar

it probs depends what sort of things you did pre pregnancy I guess. I know it’s only going to get worse so going to have to take up some new hobby or something to stop me losing my mind ha

Avatar

oh no, bless you!
I don't have the energy for much other than renovation, working full time and trying to sort baby stuff out
... I could do with more hours in the day, more energy and a lottery win 🤣🤣x

Avatar

why did you have to say goodbye to any of those things?? None of them are health risks to the baby, in fact a healthy outdoor lifestyle can do nothing but good 🙌🏼

Avatar

there’s a lot of core work to do and plus higher chance of falling, so that’s why it’s not super recommended to do all these things :)

Avatar

Why can't you go hiking or camping? If your already fit and healthy I don't see the harm

Avatar

I said long hikes, which no at 31 weeks of pregnancy, standing on your feet for too long causes a lot of water retention and the feet swell and it’s uncomfortable. Same discomfort with camping, try getting up from the floor every hour or two to go pee squatting in the bushes at night😆 not very comfortable either.
To each their own. Not sure why I’m getting questioned here. Judge yourself, not others :)

Avatar

yeah I love camping but there’s no way I could be without a proper bed atm with this belly 😂😂 getting up and down all the time and using a camping toilet no chance!! I’m going on lots walks and stuff but it’s not the same thrill as climbing mountains etc. I only started this to try and get some ideas of fun preggo things to do but i seem to have got more judgement!!

Avatar

no one was judging just saying there’s no need to stop doing any of those things. Your reasons for stopping are personal discomfort, I wouldn’t want people to think they had to stop for medical reasons when it’s incredibly healthy exercise outdoors…I feel ya about camping tho, no way I’m gonna successfully balance in a squat in the night 😅😅

Friends wedding abroad

Hi all. I know this is FTM... But really need advice. I am currently pregnant with baby #2. Only 8 weeks. I didn't want to tell anyone yet, my partner and boss knows (needed for risk assessment reasons annoyingly). My friend is getting married in a remote part of Spain in ~3 months. I've already had a few minor complications, pain, bleeding, vanishing twin... I got preeclampsia last pregnancy and a terrible birth.
I am pretty sure I don't feel comfortable flying and then travelling out to a remote part of Spain during pregnancy. It will just be me and my toddler. I know it's overcautious but I just don't feel comfortable. I'm not even sure if I am going to be classified as high risk pregnancy or not.
How do I handle this? I need to tell her ASAP, but I didn't really want to tell anyone yet as doc told me miscarriage risk is a bit increased with vanishing twin. Any ideas?

Anxiety with the bump.

I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I’ve suddenly developed a massive anxiety around anyone standing behind me. My husband is annoying me so much because even though I’ve told him how it makes me feel, he’s continued doing stuff in our kitchen (that is tiny anyway) and sliding past me to grab things. I know the baby is safe even if I were to bump the bump a little but even the thought of it is still making extremely anxious. How do I cope with this feeling and is anyone else going through the same sort of thing?

Breathless and feeling like I need to be sitting constantly!

Has anyone else been feeling this way as they're getting closer to their due date?

I attempted to change our bedding this evening and had to call my husband for back up as I literally felt like my lungs were going to explode just trying to reach over to put the sheet on.

I'm huffing and puffing just getting my toddler into his pjs, and I was sat down! Like what is going on 😮‍💨🥲

Everything has been check ie bloods etc so I think it's just general pregnancy as I'm now 38 weeks. My bump feels like it weighs about 100lbs 😭

Anxious/depressed

My first pregnancy symptom was my anxiety out of nowhere. I feel like I'm a bundle of nerves and just so scared of everything. Is anyone else feeling similar? How are you managing? Are we contributing it to hormones?

Sneak Peek Test

I did the sneak peek test at 15 weeks pregnant, and the results just came back girl! Has anyone ever taken the test, gotten girl, and it been wrong?
