Early labor contractions

I started having pain Wednesday morning and was told at my appt that I’m experiencing early contractions! I was 1cm dilated & 70% effaced but declined the membrane sweep. Now I’ve been having contractions daily since then and shit is intense!! Why didn’t anyone warn me lol but seriously is there anything you ladies did during this stage that was a good distraction?

What do the contractions feel like is it tightening in your stomach ? How many weeks are you ?

Im 40 weeks & 4 days. I definitely feel tightening in my lower stomach and pressure in the pelvic area

Oh wow I’ve been breathing a lot through tightening and pressure!

I feel like the breathing helps but omg it’s sooo intense!

im trying!! It’s my first pregnancy so I wasn’t aware of how intense they can be/get. Breathing helps but whewww sometimes it don’t.

Talking to my husband helped me when my first epidural only worked on my left

I had back labor so I had my husband gently rub my back as contractions got harder. I thought I was going to try for natural but when my water broke those contractions were an 11/10 so I got the epidural and had laughing gas to take the edge off while waiting for them to get it ordered and done.

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
