Transitioning out of swaddle

When did your LOs transition out of a swaddle? How did they transition out of a swaddle?

My baby loves his swaddle and can't sleep without it, but he's starting to roll. We tried the one arm out and didn't work because he keeps hitting himself and waking himself up. Are there any other effective ways??

What swaddle are you using? We went from the Love to Dream to a Zippadee Zip from SleepingBaby. She wasn’t a fan of the sleep sacks where her arms are out, but the zippadee is safe for rolling.

We just did it last night! We transitioned to the Merlin and so far so good.

2.5 months and we did the baby Merlin’s magic sleep suit and it worked so well!

Nope! We keep his room at like 68 and put him in old navy footie pjs and that over it!

@Haley oh I seee. Do you think it'd be hot for the baby to keep temp at about 74-76 with Merlin?

I’d say so it’s the reason we didn’t get the Merlin because they do work great (I was a nanny and they used it for their kiddos). We ended up getting the Halo transition swaddle as it’s lighter weight. It’s definitely been an adjustment period and we have to put him down fully asleep during the day (at night he eats then babbles and then goes to sleep after that first put down for the night).

I don’t think so you could just do a onesie instead of footie pjs under it!

Just one layer of cotton underneath and they are fine. If your room is more warm then they say just have them in a diaper underneath!

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

My little one is struggling with sleep

Hey! I'm in need of some advice please girls! My little boy is 20 months turns 21 months in 2 half weeks. He use to sleep through the night now he is waking up every single night in the early morning, I've had to transition him to a toodler bed as he kept climbing out his cot. Just need some advice on what I can do to help him get back in to a sleep pattern?

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
