Looking for advice for my Joie i-gemm 3. My baby is 6 months and seems squished in it now, getting more frustrated in it too, so I'm going to take the newborn insert out. A friend has said I can still use the wedge and put it in a slot in the chair itself. Is that correct?

Yes double check but think the manual says to remove the insert and use the wedge alone.

@Emily thank you, I've been trying to get through to Joie support and ended up messaging them but haven't had a response yet

The wedge and the slot is to be used with newborns up to 60cm. When your baby is taller than that, you should remove the wedge. This info Is in the car sear manual.

thanks, I can't find anything in the manual other than it saying the insert is for up to 60cm. It doesn't mention the wedge as far as I can see

Look on the bottom of the wedge.. our joie iSnug 2 has height written on the bottom of the wedge

@Emily I believe what they mean by newborn insert is the wedge and the other part together if that makes sense. I think we, parents, started to separate those two things. I might be wrong.
