Car seat and stroller combo

Hi everyone, I know there might be discussions about stroller/car seat brands already but I really need advice on this. I’ve been searching (including tiktok reviews) for DAYS to decide what brand to buy.. still cant decide yet.
Uppa baby and nuna are the most popular ones but expensive and not last long, also heard they are heavy?
What other brands that comparable to uppa baby and nuna quality? I’m currently comparing on Maxi Cosi, Cybex, Mockingbird, and Chicco.
Heard Evenflo wheels squeak so much - so this would be a no..
Graco is a bit cheaper, is the quality good? What are the cons?
Thanks!

For car seats definitely maxi cost or cybex. The others are terrible and don’t offer a supportive fit for newborns

I love and appreciate Graco. It’s descent quality and not heavy

we have a cybex carseat and would 100% recommend! I don't have experience with the pram or other brands stated, but we've recently bought an Oyster3 pram and absolutely love it, there was an option to buy it as a travel system (we only needed the seat part, not the bassinet or car seat so obvs didn't go for that one), however haven't seen any reviews on it yet. Our pram is amazing though! x

Nuna graco and Joie are all part of the same company. I was told graco is lower range, Joie midrange and Nuna top end. Although graco seems to have some amazing products. I have a Joie but not a fan of the stroller.

Absolutely loved our cybex cloud z car seat for our first! It was compatible with loads of different prams and we went with the icandy lime. Will be using both again for this baby.

I have the uppababy vista and a Nuna mixx next, they’re both great but depends on your life style/location etc. Joie do a less expensive version of the nuna mixx, looks identical x

All I would suggest is looking at whether these car seats are Swedish/swedish plus tested. I purchased my car seat & pram separately for this very reason as a lot of these car seat pram combos aren’t great for the car seat and offer very unsafe fits. I’d also suggest joining car seat safety community rear facing advice & support on Facebook. It has expert advice on there regarding car seats and they can offer recommendations based upon your babies percentiles, budget, car etc 😊

Sorry just seen you’re based in the US so ignore the last part of my message about joining the group as it’s UK based x

the zip in blanket thing isn’t safe as they can over heat zipped in. you should only ever use a a separate blanket over the top of the seat belt if it’s cold

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
