Yes they did weigh my baby. Then plotted in the growth chart in the red book and explained centiles etc. Also did a physical exam, checked the eyes, hips, etc and asked about feeding, and they’ll answer any questions you might have. She did examine me but I asked her to since I got stitches and wanted her to check if they were healed. She asked about support and mental health questions. Best of luck!

My GP checked his eyes, heart/chest, hips and private area to check everything in place. Didn’t weigh or measure him. Asked how he’s fed.
Asked about how I was doing mentally & physically, my recovery, what kind of birth I had, if I need further support, what kind of support network do I have, contraception in the future.
I put him in a onesie and no vest but was hot the day of my appt which was Monday just gone and also didn’t write in his red book but took it anyway. Then asked me to book his 8 week injections whilst I was there 😊

Not all GP surgeries have the scales and measure, at mine they asked me to go to the separate baby clinic earlier in the week to get his measurements, it’s like a local drop in clinic run by the health visitors
