he’s always hated them from the beginning, 7 months in and he’s still not a fan. at least he doesn’t cry the whole time like he used to though, he tolerates them somewhat now because he loves to play with his rubber duckies but today he was sitting in the angel care bath tub flipped over and he reached for a duckie and fell face first and breathed in bath water 😭 i feel absolutely horrible and he was screaming and coughing ugh my heart. my poor baby. pls tell me baths are absolute chaos and not fun for someone else’s baby (and the mom, definitely chaotic and stressful for me too) and does anyone have any tips to make baths more enjoyable? 😫

Same here girl!! Idk what to do😭
it’s rough!! on my knees on the tile floor, water getting everywhere, baby crying, holding him with one hand so he doesn’t fall over while trying to use my other hand to wash him. also trying to sing to him and grab his bath toys to distract him. ugh it’s pure chaos lol

I literally have tried toys, songs, warmer water, colder water nothing

How do you keep the baby from slipping out of your arms? That’s my only fear with showering with her
i used to do this and it was amazing!! but i need my husbands help so i can pass him to him when we’re done and my husband has been working unpredictable hours so i do bath time all alone most of the time. also used to bathe with him in the bath and it worked but i got lazy but i’ll probably do that again!

To add on to J.S. recommendations for showering with your baby, you can also have a blanket or shirt wrapped around them so they are less slippery. That is what I do if we shower together. We usually take baths together as it's easy for me and gives baby a chance to play in the water. I started doing baths together when baby was a newborn since he did not like being in his bathtub.
